“They Live”, the Weird Movie With a Powerful Message

"Our impulses are being redirected.
We are living in an artificially induced state of consciousness that resembles sleep. (...)
The poor and the underclass are growing.

Racial justice and human rights are nonexistent.
They have created a repressive society, and we are their unwitting accomplices.
Their intention to rule rests with the annihilation of consciousness.
We have been lulled into a trance.
They have made us indifferent to ourselves, to others.
We are focused only on our own gain.
Please understand.
They are safe as long as they are not discovered.
That is their primary method of survival.
Keep us asleep, keep us selfish, keep us sedated."

He chased her down the street and back into the house picking up a lump of concrete along the way.

He then whacked her over the head in a bedroom with the concrete causing skin on her head to split and start bleeding.

They were both "covered in blood" and he kicked her in the face causing bruising.

So now, it’s clear to the reader that when the Westboro Baptist Church says America is "tolerating homosexuals", they don’t just mean "being accepting of different lifestyles", they mean "not killing them."

Charges of stealing a Mexican flag that offended her are being dismissed against Rhea County conservative activist June Griffin.

Mrs. Griffin, who was set to go to trial on Wednesday for charges that include hate crimes, said she was told by the district attorney's office that the two witnesses against her cannot be found.

Mrs. Griffin said she does not know where the two operators of an Hispanic store at Main and Market in Dayton have gone. "I hope they are at the bottom of the river. They caused me a lot of grief," she said.

She said, "I praise God in this. I give Him all the glory. It has really been a wonderful experience."

Food not Bombs promotes organization and democracy. This is a problem for most people in power here in the US. The clear message that has been sent for 20 years straight now is that charity is something that should weaken people.

Observe the Faith-Based Initiatives for a resonably firm proof of this. The Salvation Army is another fine example. Poor people are not being told how to actually improve their quality of life, they are instead given a deeply sick rationalization for their suffering, coupled with the promise of an afterlife that will be better.

"They said they want to end homelessness and I guess one way to do that is to starve them out," said Cameron Morrow, a Parker resident who volunteers twice a week feeding the hungry at the park.

[...]

the USDA estimates we throw out about 10 tons of perfectly good food each month here in the US. They also estimate that 11.9% of all US homes suffer from the hilarious euphemism of "food insecurity" --- in other words, they don’t have enough f***ing food. That’s bad enough, but remember this is US homes, not US shelters and streets.

Brian and Kelly are co-founders of the Rational Response Squad. From Brian's basement they broadcast a weekly Internet radio show about God…or the lack thereof.

And recently they came up with a new way to publicize their cause. It is called the Blasphemy Challenge.

"Initially we wanted to find a way to allow atheists to come out of the closet, speak up and show other people that there are people that think like this," Brian says.

What they did was challenge people to make videos of themselves, denying, denouncing or blaspheming the Holy Spirit, and then post them on YouTube.

I know at least Trevor is ready to take this challenge?
