Ummm, maybe because the threat from terrorism isn't really that great? I bet if we all put our heads together we could develop an easy dozen nightmare catastrophes to inflict on the US. Why, I just thought of two right now.
This isn't to say that terrorism and terrorists are not a problem. They are. But the big problem runs deeper than attacking US food supply. The BIG problem is ideologies that demand fundamentalist theocratic institutions to control the state. This means there are serious problems in Iran, Israel and the US. One of the foundations of the liberal society is the separation of church and state. The Reverend Sun Myung Moon and the Christian Coalition are graver threats to our nation than Osama ever dreamed.
